Inland ash scattering, a new funerary option for Singaporeans

The National Environment Agency (NEA) intends to introduce inland ash scattering services at its facilities to complement existing options for Singaporeans. It is likely to take the concept of a garden with a trench laid with pebbles that loved one can scatter ashes on top of. The designated area could have different section, as well as mounds and rows with trees to afford grieving loved ones the privacy to complete the end-of-life process.
